Poster Non Prize Submissions
If you are not a member of the BSPD your abstract should be entered into the Poster - Non Prize category.
Delegates may only submit one abstract on which they are the presenting (first) author but it is permissible to be a co-author on multiple abstracts. It is expected that, in keeping with normal publication protocol, the first author (the presenting author) has made the greatest contribution to the work described. All co-authors must have approved the abstract submission. Furthermore, no abstract should have been presented previously at a National or International scientific meeting or have been published. The presenter must register for the Scientific Meeting. Failure to do so, after acceptance of an abstract, may result in the abstract being withdrawn.
To submit an abstract for the 2018 conference please CLICK HERE.
Acknowledgement of receipt of abstracts will be made by email to the presenting author. Therefore it is essential that a complete e-mail address is provided on the abstract submission form.
All unsuccessful submissions to the prize categories will be moved to this category.
The deadline date for abstract submission is 31st March 2018.
Withdrawal of abstracts
The following guidelines are given for withdrawing abstracts for the National Conference:
Abstracts may be withdrawn before going to press by informing the conference secretariat via e-mail before 31st May 2018.
After 31st May 2018 the abstract will go to press and be published in the International Journal of Paediatric Dentistry.
If the presenting author is unable to attend the meeting, the conference organiser must be informed in writing and given the reason for this. Failure to do this may result in the presenter not being allowed to present at the following year’s meeting. A co-author may be substituted to present the work, if appropriate.
Participants are expected to attend their poster during their allocated time. This will be followed by 2 minutes of questions. Posters will be displayed on a standard display board and should be A0 portrait (841 mm width by 1189 mm height).
